Being evaluated for a first definitive lower limb prosthesis. Over 40 years of age. Have undergone their first lower extremity amputation at either a below the knee or above the knee amputation level. Amputation was due to complications of diabetes and/or peripheral artery disease. Must be without concurrent diagnosis of paraplegia, quadriplegia, cancer with metastases or central nervous system tumor.
